Damage Multiplier
Valkyries, weapon, stigma, etc provide buffs, also known as damage multipliers:
- Total DMG (TDM)
- TDM Taken
- Elemental DMG
- Elemental DMG Taken
- Lightning DMG
- Lightning DMG Taken
- Ice DMG
- Ice DMG Taken
- Fire DMG
- Fire DMG Taken
- Physical DMG
- Physical DMG Taken

- Bleed DMG

Damage Element and Multipliers Relationship
As we have learnt in damage type lesson, most damage in the game belong to one of these damage elements:
- Physical DMG, Lightning DMG, Ice DMG, Fire DMG
- +Special (Bleed DMG, Ignite DMG)
Each dmg element can be affected by the following dmg multipliers:

Damage Calculation
Base DMG
Let’s take Herrscher of Finality’s (HoFi) Ultimate skill as an example.
HoFi’s ult deals 3300% ATK of Fire DMG, and let’s say HoFi has 1435 ATK stat.
The base dmg of HoFi’s ult before dmg calculation is 3300% x 1435 = 47,355 Fire DMG.
Addition and multiplication of dmg multipliers
- Same damage multipliers are added up.
- Different damage multiplier are multiplied.
Let’s say Support Valk gives:

Firstly, we add up the same buff types
- Total DMG = 20% + 10% = 30% (convert to decimal => 1.3)
- TDM Taken = 40% + 25% = 65% (convert to decimal => 1.65)
- Fire DMG = 10% + 105% = 115% (convert to decimal => 2.15)
- Fire DMG Taken = 35% + 31% = 66% (convert to decimal => 1.66)
Next, we multiply the different dmg buffs to get the final dmg multiplier provided by the support
= 1.3 x 1.65 x 2.15 x 1.66
= 7.66x DMG multiplier
Final DMG
In real situations, there are other buffs and stats like Elemental Breach, weather effect, enemy’s DEF, resistance, etc, but for this lesson, let’s say there is no other buff, and the boss has no resistance. The final damage of HoFi’s Ult will be:
= Base DMG x DMG Multiplier
= 47,355 x 7.66
= 362, 739.3 Fire DMG
Independent DMG Multipliers
Some effects provide normal buffs like Total DMG, Physical DMG, etc but during dmg calculation, they are multiplied instead of added up with dmg multipliers with the same name. These buffs are called independent damage multipliers. These are usually very strong dmg buffs since they are multiplicative.
In valkyrie and equipment skill descriptions, if an effect has (independent) text, that is an independent dmg multiplier. A valk usually has at least one ‘independent’ clause in her kit, signature weapon and signature stigma.
Part 2 weapon synergy always have one independent dmg multiplier that affects the team and the valk herself.
Abyss weather effect is an independent dmg multiplier. This is why a lineup that matches / activates the weather effect is better than the ones that don’t.
A skill that includes takes more dmg from the host / wielder is an independent dmg multiplier.This was tested with Thales M stigma. It was such a long time ago, I am not sure if this is still true now.
But it doesn’t really matter. These numbers are just gibberish for most players. Nowadays, every valk has all dmg buffs, but have more restricted activation requirement. And valks just use their signature weapon and stigma, and stigma is farmable now.
