DPS

• Behold! Fate-Defying Dragon (BFD) is the first Ignite DPS for Part 2.
• Like most P2 valks, BFD excels in favorable match-ups, but just decent everywhere else. BFD take over Sirin's bosses.
• High rank BFD may be able to get Top 50 on other bosses like Fire Tank (Source: CN 8.4 Fire Tank).

Utilities

• Breach State: BFD provides Phy / Ele Breach, a powerful buff, basically DEF PEN from Star Rail. Certain skills are also activated when valks have Breach state.
• Trauma Boost: Rampant Dragon Claws adds 12 (S) / 36 (SS2) points to any status trauma inflicted by the leader. BFD also extends status trauma duration by 50%.
• Ignite trauma.

Grail of Infinitude Support
BFD is the new best support for Planar Armament and New Elysia, and will probably be the best primary support for other GoI valks in the near future (at least for one year).

Law of Ascension Support

• BFD is the new best support for Badum and Peregrine Sword teams. BFD replaces Vita in Badum team. BFD is paired with Vita in Peregrine Sword team.
• If Vita has higher rank than BFD (let's say S2 Syn2 Vita vs S0 Syn1 BFD), then Vita support will still provide stronger buff and might get a higher score.

Vita Support
BFD is the new best support for Vita Lone Planetfarer team. BFD doesn't exactly replace Valkyrie Blastmetal (VBM). Rather, Vita's best team now is Vita + BFD + either HoFi / VBM. I'm not even kidding, A-rank Coralie lives.

PULL RECOMMENDATION

New / F2P Players
Although BFD is still good, you should still get Hi Love Elf first. Honestly, even with all the freebies, you probably won't have enough to get both Hi Love Elf and BFD if you are pure f2p.
Due to how Part 2 meta works (all valks are kinda balanced on release and have their own niche) and how patches are longer (Monthly players can afford S-rank fullgear every patch, f2p can get S-rank fullgear every one or two patches), it’s better to
- Save until you can guarantee valk + fullgear.
- Then get the latest valk early in the patch.

Whales / Competitive
BFD is still new (one patch old). She is the Breach support for GoI, LoA and Vita teams. Based on Vita who is also a Breach support, you can expect BFD to be used a lot more compared to other Part 2 valks. So, I would say BFD is good to pull if you're a heavy spender. Pull new Elysia first, then you can consider getting BFD if your wallet is still loaded.
